Internal Whitening

Internal whitening is an in-office procedure that is performed on a discolored tooth or teeth. This is done after a root canal has been completed and no further restoration is needed. Teeth can darken due to trama, medication or decay.

A small hole is made in the back of the tooth and bleaching material is placed inside the discolored tooth. Once the tooth reaches the desired color, the material is removed and a small tooth-colored filling is placed.
